Innovations Astrology Studio (“IAS”, “the Service”) draws Vedic and Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) birth charts, daśā periods, transits, pañcāṅga and related readings, and lets you ask an AI questions about your chart. It is published by Imagination Innovations LLC, a California limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the website astro.imagination-innovations.com and, when released, the IAS Android app.
Your birth details stay on your device. Charts are calculated in your own browser or phone. Your name, date, time and place of birth are saved on your device and are never sent to our server — the server refuses any request that contains them. When you ask the AI a question, only the computed chart positions you can see in the payload checklist, and your question, are sent. Sections 3 to 6 explain exactly what leaves your device and why.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Birth details: your name, date, time and place of birth are never sent to us.
Payment card details: payments are taken by Stripe (website) or Google Play (app). We never see your card number.
Contacts, photos, messages or device files: none.
2. What Stays on Your Device
| Data | Why | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|
| Saved charts, rosters, life events and settings | So you can reopen them | No — unless you include life events in an AI question (section 4) |
| Your sign-in token and AI answers you received | To keep you signed in and show your past answers | No |
| Current location you choose (“Use my location”) | For today’s pañcāṅga and muhūrta | No — coordinates stay in your browser |
You can protect saved data with an optional passphrase. It is then encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM; we never see the passphrase and cannot recover it. You can delete everything by clearing the site’s data in your browser, or by uninstalling the app.
3. Place Search, Market Data and Libraries
Place search: runs in your browser against a list of world places (GeoNames, CC BY 4.0) downloaded from our site the first time you search. The place you type is never sent to us or anyone else.
Stock tab: price history comes from stored files on our site (S&P history from Robert J. Shiller’s public dataset). While a stored copy is not yet available for a fund, the symbol you choose is sent to our server, which fetches end-of-day prices from Yahoo Finance. No personal information is involved.
Charting library: the website loads the Chart.js library from the jsDelivr content network, which receives your IP address as any web server does.
4. Ask a Question (AI answers)
| What | What we receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in by email | Your email address; a one-time code (stored only as a hash and deleted within a day of expiry); the IP address the request came from | To confirm you own the address, and to limit abuse |
| Guest pass | A random guest ID and the IP address that created it | To limit free guest answers per network |
| Each question | Your question text; the chart facts you leave ticked in the payload checklist (planet and house positions, daśā periods, yogas and similar computed values, and any life events you choose to include); the model tier; the number of words processed | To produce the answer, to charge or count it, and to prevent abuse |
| Ratings and feedback | Stars, comments, the outcome you report, your browser type, and — if you attach it — a screenshot | To improve the Service and answer you |
| Free-question tasks and referrals | Which tasks you completed, your referral code and who referred you | To award free questions |
Your question and chart facts are sent through OpenRouter, Inc. to the AI model you select. For the Premium, Standard and Basic tiers we instruct OpenRouter to use only providers that do not store or train on your request (currently Anthropic’s Claude models). The optional Community (free) tier uses third-party models whose providers may log requests or use them to improve their models; the app tells you this before you choose it. Do not put information in a question that you would not want a third party to see.
We do not store the AI’s answers on our server; they are shown to you and kept in your browser.
5. Payments
Paid upgrades are sold through Stripe Checkout on the website and, in the app, through Google Play Billing. The payment provider collects your payment details and billing address under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address, what you bought, and the provider’s transaction reference, which we keep to apply credits or your plan and for tax records.
6. Advertising
The website and the free version of the app show ads from Google (AdSense on the website, AdMob in the app). Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and your IP address to serve, personalise and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Your birth details, charts, questions and answers are never shared with Google or any advertiser.
Where you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another region where consent is required, you are asked for your choices through Google’s certified consent platform, and personalised ads are shown only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. Google’s use of this information is governed by its own policies at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
7. How We Use Information, and the Legal Bases
To provide the AI answers, free questions, credits and plans you ask for — performance of our contract with you.
To limit abuse, rate-limit free use and keep the Service secure — our legitimate interests.
To show and measure advertising — your consent where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interest in funding the free Service.
To answer support requests and send sign-in codes and receipts — performance of contract or steps you ask for.
To keep tax and accounting records — legal obligation.
We do not sell personal information, we do not build advertising profiles of you, we do not send you marketing email, and we do not use your questions to train AI models.
8. Who We Share It With (service providers)
Cloudflare (hosting, database and email routing, USA); Resend (sending sign-in codes and replies, USA); OpenRouter and the AI model provider you choose (section 4); Stripe and Google Play (payments); Google (advertising); Yahoo (fund symbols only, until stored copies replace it); jsDelivr (Chart.js library). We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to a successor if the business is transferred.
9. How Long We Keep It
Sign-in codes: deleted within a day of expiring. Guest passes: deleted after 90 days without use.
Question text: erased after 12 months; a record that a question was asked, its tier and size is kept with your account for billing.
Your account (email, balances, plan, referral details): until you ask us to delete it.
Feedback, ratings and support email: up to 3 years, then deleted. Payment records: as long as tax law requires (normally 7 years).
Information on your device: until you delete it or clear the site’s data. Information held by Google, Stripe or AI providers: under their own policies.
10. Security
Every connection uses HTTPS, enforced with HSTS; the server refuses plain HTTP. Sign-in uses one-time codes; credits are issued only to verified email addresses. Birth details are blocked at the server. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and you must be 18 or older to buy an upgrade. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has signed in or sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. To delete your account or use any other right, write to us from the email address you signed in with; we reply within 30 days. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising except through the Google advertising described in section 6, which you can turn off. Categories we hold: identifiers (email, IP address), commercial information (purchases), and the content of questions you send.
India: you may exercise your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 by writing to us; we act as data fiduciary for the account and question data described above.
EEA, UK and Switzerland: Imagination Innovations LLC is the controller. Information is processed in the United States, and where required we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Cookies and Similar Technology
IAS itself uses your browser’s local storage, not cookies, for your charts, settings and sign-in. Google’s advertising sets its own cookies (section 6).
14. Changes to This Policy
If what the Service collects changes — for example a new AI provider, analytics, or the app’s release — we will update this page before the change takes effect and change the date above.
